About Sue

I have been involved with the care of children ever since I was a young teenager.  When I was thirteen, I began baby sitting.   By the age of seventeen, I was working as a teacher’s aide at a preschool.   Realizing that child care was my passion, I earned enough ECE (Early Childhood Education) credits from Pasadena City College to be hired as a teacher at a Pasadena preschool.  I worked as a teacher until I was promoted to the position of Preschool Director in 1987.

In 1988, I left my position at the preschool so that I could stay home with and raise my first child.  Over the next five years, I had two more children and dedicated my time to providing for their care.  I was a stay at home parent until my youngest son went to college.  During this time, I stayed involved with child care and education by volunteering thousands of hours in my children’s classrooms.  Raising three boys into happy, healthy young men has been the pride and joy of my life.

I gained first hand experience in home care by helping my friend care for the children in her home care business.  I would assist by taking care of the children when my friend had to be away from her home.  In 2012, I began a seasonal job for a local party store. I focused on creating a beautiful toy area and was promoted to be manager of the toy department.  I gained familiarity with the latest and greatest children’s toys and helped parents choose the perfect toys to take home to their children.

My decades of experience in child care have given me skills as a nurturer and care giver that allow me to create a warm, safe and welcoming environment for your child. I am proud to be running my own home care business and look forward to meeting your family.
